Your Safe, Virtual Therapy Space

Psychotherapy for perinatal care, sexual wellbeing, and identity in New York and Florida

This is the space to process, get curious, and heal so you can create an authentic life that feels good.

  • Pregnancy, birth, postpartum, infertility, and loss can leave a lasting imprint, especially when your experience felt frightening, invasive, or out of your control. You may feel disconnected from your body, on edge, or unsure why something that was supposed to be joyful feels heavy or confusing. I work with you to gently process perinatal trauma and restore a sense of safety and trust in yourself. Our work moves at a pace that respects your nervous system and honors the depth of this life transition.

  • When sex or closeness feels complicated, distant, or charged, it’s often connected to experiences your body remembers even when your mind wants to move on. Desire may feel unpredictable, intimacy may bring up anxiety or numbness, or your relationship to your body may feel strained. I offer sex therapy that is grounded, consent-based, and free of judgment. Together, we explore what intimacy means to you now and how to build a sexual and relational life that feels safe, connected, and genuine

  • Many people come to therapy feeling unsure who they are beneath roles, expectations, or years of adapting to others. You might be questioning your identity, your relationships, or the version of yourself you’ve been living as. I support identity exploration in a way that is open, affirming, and pressure-free. This work is about slowing down, listening inward, and reconnecting with what feels true so you can move through the world with more clarity and self-trust.

Liz Mello, LMHC.

I believe therapy works best when you feel genuinely seen and respected as a whole person. My role is not to fix you or tell you who to be, but to offer a steady, compassionate space where you can explore what’s happening beneath the surface and move at a pace that feels right for you. I work relationally and collaboratively, with care for how your experiences live in your body, your relationships, and your sense of self. Whether you’re navigating perinatal experiences, questions around intimacy or identity, or feeling disconnected from yourself, my intention is to help you feel safer, more grounded, and more at home in who you are.

Clarity

Things that once felt tangled or hard to explain often begin to make more sense. Patterns become easier to recognize, reactions feel less confusing, and decisions can start to feel more grounded and intentional rather than driven by overwhelm.

Relief

Many people notice a gradual easing of internal pressure. The body may feel less tense, thoughts less consuming, and difficult moments more manageable. There’s often a sense of not carrying everything alone anymore.

Authenticity

Over time, it can feel safer to show up more honestly. Boundaries become clearer, relationships feel more genuine, and choices begin to reflect what actually feels true rather than what’s expected.
